OLSSC has once again named the Aids Resource Center as its beneficiary for distribution of funds from Diving for Life.


Pictured with a check for $4,182.00 are Paul Scott (Director of the Aids Resource Center ) and Mike Baxley (President of OLSSC).

Each year, Diving for Life counts the participants from each Dive Club at the annual Scuba Diving Jamboree and assigns a prorated share of the profits for each club to distribute to the charity of their choice. Profits come from a portion of the trip cost, additional donations, a silent auction, and a live auction held during the trip. OLSSC's David Doom currently serves on the Board for Diving for Life.

Last year's DFL trip was to Fiji . This year's trip in September is to Curacao. Details about Diving for Life can be found on their website: www.divingforlife.org
